Ohio Works First and Disability Financial Assistance
These programs provide small monthly cash grants to eligible low income families and individuals.
Ohio Works First (OWF) provides temporary cash assistance to very low-income families with children. Participants are required to engage in job-related activities and are offered child care and other supportive services.
Disability Financial Assistance (DFA) provides cash assistance to eligible low-income individuals with disabilities who do not meet all the requirements necessary to receive help from other federal and state programs, such as SSI and Ohio Works First.
