School Meals (USDA Child Nutrition Program)
This program offers children from low- and moderate-income families free or reduced price school meals. Children must be from households under certain income limits to be eligible. Some children are automatically eligible based on their family's enrollment in another program, such as SNAP (food stamps). All public schools, including charter schools, and most private schools participate in the school meals program.
