Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
The SNAP program, or Food Stamps (known in Ohio as Food Assistance), helps low-income households purchase food. There is no time limit in receiving SNAP for people with children and people who are elderly or have disabilities. Adults (ages 18-50) who have no children may have to meet work requirements in order to receive SNAP for more than a three-month period.
